Getting Started

Flapio requires an iPhone with LiDAR technology (iPhone 12 Pro and newer). To create a 3D scan, tap the "Scan" button and follow the on-screen instructions. Position the object you want to scan within the scanning area and move slowly around it while the app captures the 3D data.

Flapio requires an iPhone with LiDAR sensor: iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, or newer.

Requires iOS 15.0 or later for optimal performance and all features.

Common Questions

How do I share a scan?

Tap the QR code icon on any scan in your gallery to generate a redeem code. Copy the code and share it with friends. They can enter the code in the "Shared" tab to access your scan.

Why is my scan blurry or incomplete?

Ensure good lighting conditions and hold your device steady during scanning. Avoid moving too quickly and make sure the object is well-lit and positioned within the scanning area. Move slowly around the object to capture all angles.

Can I delete shared scans?

Yes, you can delete scans from your gallery at any time. Long-press on a scan and select "Delete" to remove it permanently. Note that this will also remove the scan from anyone who has access via redeem codes.

How do I redeem a shared scan?

Go to the "Shared" tab and enter the 8-character redeem code in the text field. Tap "Redeem" to add the shared scan to your collection.

Troubleshooting

Scan not starting

Make sure you've granted camera and LiDAR permissions. Check that your device has sufficient storage space and restart the app if needed.

Poor scan quality

Ensure you're in a well-lit environment and hold the device steady. Clean your camera lens and avoid reflective surfaces or bright lights behind the object. Make sure the object has good contrast and texture for better scanning results.

Redeem code not working

Double-check the code is entered correctly (8 characters, case-sensitive). Make sure you have an internet connection and try refreshing the shared scans.
